此佩由和田玉籽料雕就，油润度极佳，正面留少许白皮，毛孔细腻自然，而不带一丝皮色，也从侧面印证了这块玉料的玉质细腻油润。在设计上，作者以虚实结合的手法，用近似于立体雕的雕刻技法，雕刻为低首嘶鸣、奋蹄前行的天马，马首则刻画细腻写实，马身与马尾皆隐去不见，有“神龙见首不见尾”的气韵。中国玉石雕刻大师吴金星擅长以圆雕技艺塑造动对象，其动对象作品可谓形神兼备，趣味浑然天成，古朴中跃动现代生活气息，设计均较为简洁，在造型的表现手法上加以创新，使作品更具有生活气息，趣味盎然。吴金星：中国玉石雕刻大师款识：吴 附作者收藏证书
