此盘制作规整，设色浓重，黄色的腾龙在绿色的盘体衬托下醒目突出，是辽代三彩器的代表作品。辽三彩基本取法于唐三彩，并在其基础上有所发展，形成自身的风格，具有强烈的民族特征。其图案多为契丹民族喜见的牡丹、莲花等。釉色方面多用黄、白、绿三色釉料。如此大尺寸辽三彩盘，成型难度极大。传世所见辽三彩盘规格多在11cm-14cm之间，如此30cm大盘形制如此规整者更为少见，不可多得。
