|盒长方形制，子母口扣合，正面装饰有铜质锁扣，四周边角以铜包角，盒内与底髹黑漆。盒盖四周以螺钿饰菱纹，顶部饰花卉纹，四周梯形开光处以精细竹丝编制装饰，细密美观。盒身髹黑漆，盖与盒的四壁作海棠式开光髹红漆。整体淳厚沈穆，造型古雅。螺钿镶嵌致密，细腻工整，与开光的镶竹设计犹可见当初拥有者的富贵背景，含蓄而精致，实为盒之上品。
