本画造景图式则以唐人笔墨运宋人丘壑，沉沉密密，有条不絮，严谨而挺秀，澹定而文雅，用笔极密处愈见虚灵，笔松理密，俱见画家经营之妙，画面构图以「之」形布局，缜丽丰腴，意境空灵，用笔着墨滋润秀雅，富有情趣，设色妍丽而秀润，画中山石层岩迭翠，略笼石青，间衬以水墨岩石，以彰其阴阳晦明，坡岸水渚以色墨濡染，敷色滋嫣动人，溪流迤逦远去，显得幽窈深邃，增加宽广深远的美感，全图色彩和谐统一，灿烂如万丈锦绣，山色如娥，水波如缕，温风如酒，使观者目酣神醉，恍置身三春，柳丝拂面，乍暖还寒，犹沐春风，崇尚水墨之画家有「以墨当色」一说，倩庵先生反其道而行之，以色当墨，于极富变化色彩之上，再施以浓重之色线加以勾皴，色墨交融而含光氤氲。
