林风眠（1900-1991），原名林凤鸣，广东梅州人。他是中国近现代画家暨教育家，是中国现代美术教育的奠基者之一，他的作品不仅引进西方艺术理念，也融合中国传统技法，被誉为“中国现代绘画艺术之父”。此外他还创立了中国第一所国立高等艺术学府，与颜文梁、徐悲鸿和刘海粟并称“四大校长”，且培养出李可染、吴冠中、赵无极等一大批杰出的艺术名家。
