Mei Lanfang and Pu Xinshe also had exchanges. Pu Xinshe gifted Mei Lanfang several works. On the occasion of Mei Lanfang's 37th birthday, Pu Xinshe specially painted a landscape with a lofty scholar and inscribed a poem to commemorate the event.
