瓶口外撇、细颈、鼓腹、外撇圈足。通体施胭脂红釉，釉色娇嫩。胎质细腻，底釉滋润。此瓶式样名玉壶春瓶，在元代即有制作。与此瓶完全相类的作品则始见于明永乐年间，以后各朝多有仿制，器型大致相仿，以雍正、乾隆时期制作最为精良，但多为青花作品，单色釉的比较少见。此器釉色为鲜艳娇嫩的胭脂红釉，属于较高档的釉色。故在晚清官窑中亦属不可多得的佳品。
