胡璋，字铁梅、寅子，安徽桐城人，久居沪上。擅长绘画，精山水、人物，花鸟亦颇有成就，与王冶梅并以画梅得名，并为巢林遗派。1875年作《松林萧寺图》。绘有立轴《牡丹群猫》、《梅花高士图》等。曾游于日本，画名甚噪。1896年创办《苏报》。
