明正统、景泰、天顺三朝，历时短暂（三朝共历28年），传世、出土的瓷器数量甚少，故在明代称之为空白期。此器物为空白期携琴访友图大罐，罐直口，短颈，丰肩，鼓腹，腹以下渐内收，圈足。器物底部多为细砂底，有火石红现象。造型端庄饱满。通体青花装饰。这个时期的青花瓷多采用元代，和明代早期常见的一笔点画技法，繁简有序，笔意粗犷飘逸，风格随意率真，画面布局简洁。
