A late 19th century French Louis XVI style inlaid mahogany and ormolu mounted credenza,of breakfront 'D' shaped form, with foliate motif frieze, centred with a panel of cherubs over a pair of marquetry inset panelled doors decorated with flowers and trophies, flanked by bowed glazed doors and divided by squared tapered columns, on toupie feet, width 170cm, depth 51cm, height 126cm.This credenza was probably retailed by Holland & Sons, as it was purchased by the owner's ancestor at the same time as the Anglo-Japanese corner cabinet in this sale.
