A drum shaped Fahua Garden Seat, middle Ming dynasty, probably Zhengde period, decorated with a turquoise ground central band of incised lotus scroll around the belly, picked out in aubergine and yellow enamels, between two bands of moulded turquoise imitation nails above and below,all against the overall midnight blue field, the belly with two moulded blue lion mask handles, H:38cm., restored , with some cracks and areas of restoration and overpainting, including the top of the seat, the upper body, around the foot and on the handles.
