A good mid Qing dynasty bronze censer thinly cast and light in weight with two handles shaped as lion heads, the base with Xuande mark. 9.5cm diameter. 197 grams weight. Condition: Good with authentic verdigris patina and mineral deposits. Ex American gentleman acquired before 1960's by repute. This lot comes from the private collection of Mr. Enrique Nervi, from his school days he was always interested in ancient history, later in life he completed a degree in Archaeology in the U.K. his passion for art is reflected in his collection of Chinese art, some of which are now being offered by Swan Auctions.
