提要：干城奖章图案中心为古城一角，四周为光芒，干城二字，本于《诗经》，原文为“赳赳武夫，公侯干城”，意为“捍蔽如盾，防守如城”，象征着荣获此章者，捍外而卫内，使国家坚强巩固，荣光四射也。于1937年9月7日修正陆海空军奖励条例时增颁。颁给陆海空军军人于战时或平时着有功绩，或学术技能特有专长者。
