拍品描述:说明：该器呈椭圆形，细颈，宽腹，双耳，椭圆足。盖顶下凸起绳纹一周。颈部浅雕夔带纹，腹琢莲瓣纹，肩两侧凸离羊首耳。玉质莹润。羊字通“祥”。古代“吉祥”多作“吉羊”。羊字又通“阳”。《史记·孔子世家》：“眼如望羊”。《释名·释姿容》：“望羊：羊，阳也。言阳气在上。举头高，似若望之然也。”正因为“吉羊”为“吉祥”之意，所以从汉代以来，羊的雕塑品、装饰物都很多。该瓶以羊首饰耳，取吉祥、高望之意。
