A cast bronze mace head featuring a cylindrical body that would have been affixed to a wooden or less ornamented metal staff via a socket located beneath the flat-tipped head. The surface of the cylindrical body is adorned with three neatly arranged horizontal rows of spikes. The terminus of the mace head is characterized by a reinforced, rounded socket.
