Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth – Saxony, 17th-18th century, period of the reign of August II the Strong, who was king of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, also the ruler of Saxony. Round skull with six vertical ridges and a small round plate on the top, with a round loop. Horizontal visor with narrow face guard, adjusted with a screw. The upper part of the face guard is flame-shape, flat. Triangle cheek guards with holes and rivets. Neck guard with four movable lames. On each side of the skull are fixed with rivets flat iron elements in form of wings, with seven ridges and openwork in the shape of hearts. The leather is new.Size: L:395mm / W:405mm ; 2.43kgProvenance: Property of a European collector; formerly in a private German collection.
