灯笼瓶因其形似灯笼而得名，器型周正俊雅。瓶身以青花作饰，盘口处绘双弦纹一周，颈部及肩部由上自下分别绘蕉叶纹、弦纹、连回纹及如意云肩纹，近底部一周仰莲纹，上下呼应。腹部绘三组折枝花果，分别为佛手柑、石榴、寿桃，寓意“多福、多子、多寿”，即“三多”。三组折枝均呈倒三角形构图，分布均匀，错落有致，果实累累，祥瑞满枝。青花发色均仿永宣青花器物，尤其折枝花果的描画，以画仿成的「铁锈斑」，再现了永宣青花追求自然、水墨意蕴的装饰效果。
本器胎釉精良，以点染模仿永宣苏麻离青，浓淡分明，虽用料有别，却依旧达到了永宣特有的水墨效果，技法高妙无比。清雍乾二帝尤为崇尚永宣青花，摹制不遗余力，其时精品迭出，本品即为其中之佼佼者。
