以婴戏题材作为陶瓷装饰的最早记录可追溯至唐代长沙窑，到了宋代，苏汉臣等名家以婴戏为主题之画作风行，器物亦盛行以此作为装饰主题。时至明清，婴戏图达到鼎盛期，本品即为其中一例。
罐短口，丰肩，圆腹，造型圆润饱满，胎体细腻致密。罐身通施白釉，釉汁滋润莹亮，罐身外壁以粉彩绘庭院婴戏图，旭日高悬，石桥如虹，绿草如茵，奇石林立，一派春意盎然之景，众童子皆梳发髻，周身绸缎锦衣，面庞白皙红润，神态稚拙活泼，于庭院之间嬉戏玩耍，一蓝衣童子回身顾盼，格外醒目；其旁童子或仰头相和，或伸手相应，场面热闹非凡，寓意喜庆吉祥。
