拍品为乾隆朝文房陈设佳作，器形秀美雅致，胎质坚细，釉面莹润，釉色娇而不艳，静谧深沉，口沿以金属包饰，古韵盎然。
高温铜红釉器始烧于元代景德镇，至明永乐、宣德烧造技术成熟，又称霁红，为名贵颜色釉品种，烧成技术极难掌握，更有“千窑一宝”之说。清朝《景德镇陶歌》中曰：“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工。霜天晴昼精心合，一样抟烧百不同。”
