《饮流斋说瓷》描述：“梅瓶口细而颈短，肩极宽博，至胫稍狭，抵于足微丰，口径之小仅与梅之瘦骨相称，故名梅瓶。”
拍品口部略广，唇口短颈，丰肩敛腰，胫部内收，至底微撇，造型端庄柔美，气韵典雅。外壁满施郎窑红釉，釉色匀净，宛若红宝石般，极富陈设效果。
