DescriptionA FINE SINO-TIBETAN GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722) The figure is shown seated in dhyanasana on a double-petaled lotus base, with his hands in dhyanamudra. His face with a serene expression flanked by foliage earrings and surmounted by a five-peaked ornate tiara. Three characters "Shang, Shi" and "Shi", translated as "Upper ten" and "ten" are inscribed on the base. 清 康熙 鎏金銅無量壽佛坐像 Provenance: A private collection, Sydney, acquired from The Antique Guild, Brisbane, 8/9/2016, receipt no. 1671 (original receipt).
