The larger one is for a fifth rank civil official, worked in couched gold and silver thread depicting a 'silver pheasant' amongst waves on a densely patterned ground, the sun coloured with stitched coral beads. The smaller one is for a first rank civil official, worked in couched gold and silver thread depicting a crane amongst waves on a denselypatterned ground.Size of the badges: 39.5 x 40.2 cm (15 1/2 x 15 7/8 in.) and smaller.
