D:32cm H:6cm 簡介：翰林院是從唐朝開始設立，初時為供職具有藝能人士的機構，擔當起草詔書的職責，翰林供奉則無甚實權，晚唐以後，翰林學士院演變成了專門起草機密詔制的重要機構，有“天子私人”之稱。翰林院學士是社會中地位最高的士人群體，集中了當時知識份子中的精英，社會地位優越。宋沿唐制設學士院，也稱翰林學士院，有時亦稱翰林院。翰林學士實際上充當皇帝顧問，很多宰相都從翰林學士中選拔。北宋前期的翰林學士，亦無 秩品。元豐改制後，翰林學士承旨和翰林學士成為正式官員，正三品，並且不任其他官職，專司草擬內制之職，例帶知制誥銜。由於唐代學士院自翰林院分出，故宋代有時亦稱學士院為翰林院。宋代另有專掌藝學供奉之事的翰林院，但與學士院的翰林院無關。
