A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS SCROLL' DISH Qing Dynasty, Guangxu mark and of the period 清光緒 青花纏枝蓮紋盤 《大清光緒年製》 The shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a gently-everted rim, painted to the interior with three stylised lotus flowerheads issuing from scrolling leafy stems, bordered by a band enclosing demi-lotus sprays around the rim, the exterior with a frieze of lotus scroll, six-character Guangxu mark in underglaze-blue to the base, 15.3cm diameter c.f. Aparable dish can be found in the collection of the British Museum, acc. no. 1984,0202.64. A group ofparable dishes were sold at Christie's New York, 13th September 2012, lot 1187, and another pair at the same rooms, 15th December 2015, lot 96. A similar dish, this one bearing a six-character Xianfeng mark, was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 11th October 2017, lot 319.
