A FINE CHINESE FAMILLE-ROSE WHITE-GROUND 'LOTUS' VASE Qing Dynasty, Jiaqing mark and of the period 清嘉慶 白地粉彩纏枝蓮紋瓶 《大清嘉慶年製》款 The ovoid body finely painted with stylised lotus flowers issuing trumpet-shaped vessels bearing the Three Abundances, borne from scrolling stems rich with lush polychrome vegetation on a white ground dotted with small blossoms, ripe peaches and gilt wan symbols, all above petal lappets and below a band of ruyi heads enclosing flowerheads issuing from a band of key fret painted in pink enamels, the slender neck similarly decorated to the body and rising to a gently flared rim painted with a band of flowerheads and scrolling decorations on a blue-enamel ground, the rim picked out in gilt, the interior and base glazed turquoise, a six-character Jiaqing mark in red-enamel set within a white cartouche to the base, 36.3cm high c.f.
