WHITE JADE RETICULATED 'DRAGON BOAT' PLAQUE QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY 清 白玉透雕龍舟玉牌 both sides similarly and finely pierced carved as a large barge with a dragon-headed prow and a scroll-form stern, powered by ten oarsmen intricately detailed along the sides and a boat hand holding a long pole to steer the boat, the stern with a large banner draped over the sides of the boat, the pagoda-like construction of the hull adorned with ceremonial canopies, banners and flag, the stone of even white colour (8.4cm wide ) Qty: (1) Note: An unusual and larger (16.3cm wide) dragon boat, dated to the Qing dynasty, has similar decoration and design, was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 1 Jun 2011, lot 3748.
