His original name was Yu, and he later changed it to Du, with the courtesy name of Shumei. He was also known as Songhu Xiaoyin, Songhu, Hugong, and Jushi. He was born in Qiantang (present-day Hangzhou, Zhejiang) and was a younger brother of Qian Shu. Qian Du was known for his exquisite painting and calligraphy skills, and he also excelled in seal carving. His most famous work is "The Painting Technique of Songhu," a book that is highly regarded for its discussion of painting techniques and styles. Condition: Offered in overall good condition.
