铜
此件卧牛形水盂，四肢蜷局，两角后仰，昂首突目，口鼻上翘，作休息状。其嘴微微张开，似正低哞，实为流滴，背部开孔以注液，掏腹中空以储水，构思相当巧妙。卧牛完全采象生法制成，将耕牛的形象刻画得生动传神，头部及尾部精雕细节，状写入微。耕牛勤勉耐劳，农业又为立国根本，文人取其形制为砚滴，似有以之自勉，并期望本固邦荣之意。
