款识：胡文明制
此件筒式炉为黄铜铸造，皮色近乎栗壳，包浆光润。炉为直腹，下出三只蹄足，周身用高浮雕与镂雕饰一周松鼠葡萄纹，其上可见藤蔓错落，葡萄结实累累，有松鼠奔腾于其间，立体感极强。炉下阴刻“胡文明制”篆书款。
胡文明为明末云间地区的制炉大家，他善用浮雕及仿古装饰，是当时南方铸炉颇具代表性的名家，此件筒式炉亦具胡炉风韵。
