乾隆一朝堪称中国瓷器历史之巅峰时代，其品类之繁复，技术之高超，皆空前绝后，御窑厂集良工巧匠之能事，依遵乾隆皇帝之广博爱好，仿古采今，精心研烧，多有创新，遂致所出之御瓷器型奇巧，花饰佚丽，雍容华贵，独步古今。许之衡《饮流斋说瓷》记有：“……至乾隆则华缛极矣，精巧之至，几于鬼斧神工……”。邵蛰民撰《增补古今瓷器源流考》记：“清瓷至乾隆而极盛，器式之多亦莫与伦比”。此器造型敦实，青花发色匀称，为乾隆朝典型器物。
