盘为敞口，折腰，斜腹，圈足。通体施白釉，细润光滑的釉面，白中微微闪黄。盘内刻莲花，寥寥数笔，即将其摇曳生姿之态表现于此。本品所饰的刻划莲花即属定窑特有的装饰风格，所刻线条流畅，纹饰清晰，飘逸潇洒，充分显示出定窑印花品种的制作水平之高。此盘色如象牙之白黄，纹饰简洁明了，寥寥几刀，一朵绽放白莲跃现盘上，含蓄地表达了莲花出污泥而不染的精神所在，属北宋定窑雅器之一。
