本品沙口溜肩深弧腹圈足，造型规整，釉质莹润透亮，通体以青花为饰，青花发色青翠艳丽，浓淡有致。口部绘青花几何纹，器身绘“桐叶封弟”图案。人物绘画生动，表情丰富，栩栩如生。具有康熙时代的典型特征。 “桐叶封弟”出自《史记·晋世家》，故事主要讲述了西周时期，周成王年少时与其弟弟叔虞一起游戏，并削桐叶为珪赐予叔虞，并戏言以此桐叶封叔虞到唐作诸侯。于是史官让成王选择封侯的时日，但成王言“吾与之戏耳”。史官言“天子无戏言”，于是叔虞就被分封到唐做了诸侯。后以“桐叶封弟”特指帝王封拜。
