此玉碗形制独特，唯美典雅，整体呈绽放的芙蓉花形，口沿为层叠的花瓣状，圈足。碗外壁花瓣纹理清晰，以细密的阴线表现筋脉之感。碗中心高浮雕花蕊，朵朵花瓣层层叠叠，契合花朵开放的自然状态。整器雕工细腻，保存完好，由于时间久远，局部呈现自然的沁斑痕迹，为黑褐色，色泽深沉古雅。此芙蓉花碗当时较为流行，同时期可见纯金芙蓉花碗，具有典型的时代特色。
