小案几以色泽优美的黄花梨为材，中心嵌云石几面，两缘上翘，为标准的翘头案制式。虽为小件器物，但制作却极为细致，牙板直牙条，平铲地，沿边起阳线，牙头处锼镂为卷云纹，波折连连，云头卷如鸟喙，圆转如意，且与翘头遥相呼应。两侧卷云纹相合即为倒垂如意云纹。此器尺寸小巧，当为案上小几，却是小器大作，工艺极为考究，特别是牙板线条优美流畅，耐人寻味，可置之案头摆放心爱文房雅物。
