Description Near pair of two (2) French Louis XVI style diminutive marquetry commodes, each with variegated demilune shaped marble top over a conforming case with three dovetailed drawers flanked by cabinet drawers opening to shelves, with foliate and ribbon swag inlay and gilt mountings throughout, on tapered legs with plain sabots. 33" H x 26" W x 13 1/2" D. Minor scattered age splits and losses to veneer, largest measuring 5/8" x 5/8". Minor small scattered repairs to veneer. One commode with later added green felt liner to shelves and loss to locking mechanism of right door.
