Description Sterling Boyd Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board painting depicting a stylized orchid flower against a lavender background, rendered in heavy impasto with sgraffito linework. Signed and dated "Strauser 89" top left. Inscription on frame back reads "[illegible] 107.00." Lyzon Art Gallery, Nashville, TN, sticker on back of frame along with an illegible handwritten sticker. Housed in a rusticated carved giltwood frame with floral decorations and beige wooden fillet. Sight: 7 1/2" H x 9 1/2" W.
