Description American Federal inlaid slant front desk, cherry with white pine and poplar secondary. Plain dovetailed top with fall front having breadboard ends and fan inlay at each corner; front opens to a fitted interior having two rows of drawers in a three-over-five configuration, above five pigeonholes with serpentine valances. Four graduated dovetailed drawers, each with fan inlay to corners, brass bail pulls and escutcheons, atop a base with tall ogee bracket feet with spur returns. Chalk signature of previous owner inside case. 42" H x 39" W x 18 3/4" D. Mid-Atlantic, Late 18th century.品相报告: Condition Report Older refinish. Top back edge with an old replaced strip, approximately 1 " W. 1st, 3rd and 4th base drawers missing locks. Wear and losses along top edge of the fall front.
