Description Chinese porcelain and hardwood screen, five panels inset with a total of eleven enameled porcelain plaques comprising five painted landscape scenes above five detailed scenes of birds, ducks and flowers, and the center panel with additional dragon plaque. Each panel features carved wood accents above and below the plaques and fits into a carved hardwood footed base with canted ends. At least two of the plaques have inscriptions, possibly signatures, en verso. Chinese, 19th century. Overall - 26"H x 26"W x 6"D. Note: included with this lot is a 1984 appraisal from Manheim Galleries, New Orleans, attributing this screen to the Tao Kuang period (1821-1850) with a value of $6,500.品相报告: Condition Report Shrinkage crack to wood on central panel, other scattered minor areas of shrinkage and wear to wood. One panel (not the plaques) became separated from its frame but has now been reattached.
