清乾隆 碧玉英雄双联瓶 本件英雄瓶为碧玉质，立体圆雕；瓶身琢成双筒，顶盖为蟠龙形。雕琢器身双管以鹰和熊相连，圆雕雄鹰踏于兽首之上，鹰两翅展开贴瓶壁，神武威严，一面圆雕螭龙腾起于双瓶之间，螭龙身形矫健灵活，极富动感，之下为兽尾及后肢岿然屹立，双筒间透雕飞鹰踏熊首像，谐音“英雄”。造型精美，雕工考究，左右双管纹饰对称，刻线深邃，尽显古朴雅致之风。 英雄双联瓶盛于宋，流传至清，成为重要之陈设玉器及合婚所用之礼器-英雄合卺杯，寓意夫妇二人合二为一，同心同德，未来的生活同甘共苦，子孙繁茂。碧玉英雄瓶体现了乾隆皇帝的慕古情怀。每件双联瓶都是一件独一无二的纪念品，而如此珍稀贵重的玉质礼器，往往是皇家贵族大婚的特品与重要陈设器，实为千金不易，可遇不可求的珍稀之品。近年英雄瓶珍品常见于各大拍卖与收藏机构，2004年佳士得成交一件不带盖的碧玉雕英雄双联瓶，故宫博物院亦珍藏一件与本拍品形制相似的碧玉英雄瓶。 Qing Qianlong jasper hero double vase The vase is made of jasper and is carved in the round in three dimensions; the body of the vase is carved as a double barrel, and the top is in the form of a coiled dragon. The eagle is carved in the round and stands on top of the head of the beast, with its wings spread against the wall of the vase in a majestic manner, while a chi dragon is carved in the round and rises up between the two vases, with its vigorous, flexible and dynamic body, and the tail and hind limbs of the beast standing underneath. The shape is exquisite, the carving is exquisite, the left and right double pipes are symmetrical, the carving line is deep, showing the style of ancient and elegant. The Hero Vase was made in the Song Dynasty and passed on to the Qing Dynasty, where it became an important jade vessel for display and a ritual vessel for marriage, the Hero Fm Cup, signifying that the couple would become one, be of one heart and one mind, and have a prosperous future together. The jasper hero vase reflects the Qianlong emperor's admiration for the ancient world. Each twin vase is a unique souvenir, and such rare and precious jade rituals were often special items and important furnishings for royal and noble weddings, making them rare and hard to come by. In 2004 Christie's sold a jasper carved hero double vase without lid, and the National Palace Museum has a jasper hero vase of similar form to this lot.
