Ca. 800-1000 AD. A cast-bronze reliquary cross pendant composed of two cruciform plaques that fit together, a hinged mechanism to the top and bottom, and a loop for suspension. Both faces display the crucified Christ in relief. This type of cross can be opened to hold a small relic or a prayer document.
