Potted in Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, is a pear-shaped bottle vase. A bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to slender waisted neck flaring at the mouth rim, supported on a short spreading foot ring. All reserved hand-painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glazed base color which contrasts against the famille rose design color. The main body adorned with many flying fubats among scrolling ruyi, vapors, flaming clouds, enclosed with repeating taotie mask and double fine ring lines. The neck decorated with ruyi petals and flying Fu bat, enclosed with a single thick gilt ring line. The word bat Fu, in Chinese sounds identical to the word for luck, which is a pair of homophones, implied linguistic symbolism the symbolic meaning of bat is commonly recognized as good fortune in Chinese culture. The five blessings are a concept that signifies a grouping of certain good fortunes and luck in Chinese culture. The Lines of the drawings are clear and the 2 shades, light and dark, are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite. The composition is sophisticated and simply a feast for the eyes. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior.
