It was founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni, and its name stands for "Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni" (in English: mechanical workshop Armando Simoni).Originally a small workshop dedicated to the repair of fountain pens, it rapidly evolved thanks to the creation of machines and equipment necessary to obtain the mouldings and the grinding of the nib tips.After the death of "Cavaliere Simoni", in 1958 his daughter Raffaella and her husband Angelo Malaguti inherited the company.
