拍品形制简约,以釉色取胜。所施霁红釉,宝光润亮,呈色稳定红艳。胎体坚实致密，修足规整。
《景德镇陶歌》有日“官古窑成重霁红,最难全美费良工。霜天晴昼精心合,一样抟烧百不同。”霁红釉烧造不仅依靠人工,更赖气候天成。可知霁红釉是清代烧造难度较大的品种,要烧得纯正之霁红釉更是难得珍贵。
长颈制品，烧造周正不偏者，极为难得。而本件颈部挺括，形制周正，敦实可爱，亦是难得。
