A CHINESE CARVED LONGQUAN LOTUS BOWL SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279) With powerful carving of scrolling lotus to the cavetto, and a keyfret border to the exterior above lotus petals emerging from the foot, and covered in a celadon glaze with olive tinge. Together with a presentation plaque. 7.75cm high, 19.5cm diameter PROVENANCE: Presented to Diana Stock by the Council of the Southeast Asian Ceramics Society in Singapore, 1979. The Diana Stock Collection, Melbourne. EXHIBITIONS: Exhibited in `Exhibition of Celadons and Other Related Wares in Southeast Asia`, jointly organised by the National Museum, Singapore and the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, June 1979.
