`TEA HOUSE, NATIVE CITY`, C. 1924 FRAMED WOODBLOCK PRINT BY ELIZABETH KEITH (1887-1956) Frame: 47.5cm x 58cm Image: 32cm x 43cm OTHER NOTES: Elizabeth Keith was born in Scotland and at age 28, traveled to Japan where she remained for nine years and produced watercolours and exhibited at small exhibitions when Watanabe, the acclaimed Shin Hanga publisher, saw her work and convinced Keith to try her hand at woodblock printing. Keith prints are both rare and expensive, as the number of printed copies was small at only 30 or 50 copies. Her works are in the collections of the British Museum, the Musée Guimet in Paris, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts.品相报告: Viewed from inside the frame: Some foxing in areas, visible minor creasing around outer region of image.
