A PAIR OF JAPANESE PORCELAIN PLAQUES BY KATO ZENJI (1848-1918) MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) Finely painted in overglaze enamels with a continuous scene running across the two panels of flying and nesting quails within a lakeside landscape with distant mountains to the horizon. Impressed seal for Kato Zenji to the reverse of both, with an iron red kanji inscription.
