A group of East Asian guardian lions Circa 19th-20th century Comprising a pair of Chinese gilt foo dogs, a polychrome and gilt guardian lion, possibly Tibetan, and gilt foo dog with attached base, 4 pieces Largest: 7.75" H x 12.25" W; smallest: 4.75" H x 8.625" W Provenance: The Estate of George David Sturges品相报告: Each overall good condition with scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, shrinkage cracks, indentations, and separation at joints commensurate with age. Polychrome and gilt, along with plaster ground, are flaking from wood surface for two. Three of the guardians have existing attachment mechanisms on the verso as they were clearly once mounted to a building.
