本器唇口、短颈呈梯形，丰肩下渐收，胫部修长，圈足。梅瓶主体绘青花龙纹，龙纹飘逸爽朗，栩栩如生。梅瓶作为一种具有实用、装饰、盛酒器具等多种用途的器物，在唐代就已出现，宋时逐渐流行，并以其修长的体态备受世人青睐，时称「经瓶」，明中期以后，梅瓶成为文人墨客几案之上的陈设用器，到了晚清因其小口与梅枝之瘦小形态相似，仅能容一枝梅花，改称「梅瓶」。
