They were also the founders, in 1919, of the Compagnie des arts Français, with which they produced furniture and decorative art objects.Well recognised for their work, they were often rewarded for their projects for the Universal Exhibitions, cooperating in such projects with the great companies, such as CHRISTOFLE. The Paris MUSÉE DES ARTS DÉCORATIFS, conserves a dining room as well as a vast selection of objects representative of Arts of the Table. Part of the porcelain set designed by SÜE et MARE can also be seen in that same museum, of which the tureen belonging to our centrepiece, was displayed in the dining room of the Fontaine Pavilion at the International Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Modern Arts in Paris 1925 (Inv.25814.A-C) and whose drawing can be seen at the Cooper–Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum of New York (Inv. 1992-70-2). Its blue version belonged to the KARL LAGERFELD collection (SOTHEBY'S Monaco, December 3, 2021, lot 279). Artworks by Louis SÜE and André MARE are kept at renowned private and public collections worldwide, such as the Metropolitan Museum, in New York, or the Victoria & Albert Museum, in London.
