French silverGuilloche decoration the bowl with blank cartouche by QUEILLÉHallmarks: Minerva 1st grade, master goldsmith PQ for 1847-1895(in very good condition)注意: The QUEILLÉ were a dynasty of goldsmiths specialised in silver cutlery and tableware in the 19th century. The company achieved the extraordinary longevity of approximately one century, during which remained in the family ownership. The original maker's stamp "an antique oar" flanked by the PQ initials wont suffer but minor alterations during the firm's long life.The house was founded by the spoon maker Pierre-François QUEILLÉ, who engraved his stamp in 1808, continuing his activity until 1834.He is succeeded by Pierre-François QUEILLÉ II, cutler, who registers his own mark in October 23, 1834. Based at 70 Faubourg Montmartre in Paris, his seal will be voided in November 27, 1846.Eugène QUEILLÉ, goldsmith, takes over the workshop and registers his stamp in February 11, 1847, based at 8 petite rue Saint-Roch-Poissonnière.In 1874 the QUEILLÉ are recorded at 11, rue des Petits-Carreaux, in the heart of a goldsmiths neighbourhood.They will maintain the company's original activity, when their workshop is acquired by Antoine LAPARRA.MUSEUMS, PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS AND LISTED OBJECTS•MINISTRY OF DEFENCE, HÔTEL DUET, PARIS, Silver gilt dinner set, listed as Historical Monument in April 27, 1926.重量(g): 81,6 g
